We will study the economics of foreign exchange rates, the determination of real and nominal exchange rates, the determination of capital flows and current account balances, and the exchange rate regime.

This is not a course in asset pricing, or mathematical finance, or the institutional details of international asset markets, though it will touch on all of these.
